THE METHOD

COOK IT.

01

Cut and core your apples into small chunks. Peel the orange and cut it into fourths. Add to the pot or cast-iron.

02

Add water until all of the apples are submerged (3-4 quarts) depending on the size of your pot.

03

Add in cinnamon sticks, nutmeg, cloves, Pit Boss Apple Butter Rub, and brown sugar. Mix to combine.

04

Put a lid on your cast-iron and place it directly onto your Pit Boss pellet grill at 275°F. Allow the apples to cook down for 4-5 hours or until the apples are cooked and very soft.

05

Double-strain through cheesecloth or a fine mesh strainer and allow all of the liquid to seep through.

06

Serve hot and enjoy!
